helloo babies.
happy eatser, st patricks day, good friday and whatnot. here's a long overdue post that i was meant to do like three weekends ago. (sorry teri.) anyhoo. fourteen days, and i'm off. all i can say is thank god. sometimes i just feel the need to just get out of here; and here's my chance. i'm so glad to be going. i've just been so sick of routine around here. i need change.
right now my floor is covered in clothes. i always seem to over-pack when i go places.
here's a list of things i'd like to do/accomplish while i'm in japan:
- take a lot of photos. (a little obvious, but whenever i go travelling i always come back and wish i'd taken more photos of everything.)
- wear a kimono. (okay so it's more of going to kyoto, and going to one of those places where they let you dress as a maiko and walk around hehe. it looks like heaps of fun!)
- visit himeji castle. (relatively close to osaka/kobe area, so that'd be nice.)
- try an onsen. (only if my family offer to take me to one. onsen is like a public bath.)
- learn a new phrase/sentence everyday. (making the most of my stay!:])
- try new foods. (sashimi in particular.)
- shop in local areas.
- try authentic japanese karaoke, even though i hate singing.
- become accustomed to the public transport.
- to see the 'train-pusher' people in peek hours.
- go on the shinkansen (bullet train)
- buy japaense fashion magazines (for johi, and myself.)
- stack up on as much stationery as possible.
- become more fluent in plain form.
- save at least one newspaper article and take it back to australia.
- buy a yukata. :)
- go to a japanese art gallery.
- not become a complete slob. eat healthy, exercise.
- sleep on a futon.
- meet up with kei, flo, sho, and kazuyoshi.
- keep up with mlc/kc homework.
- meet a maiko/geisha in gion. (highly unlikely, but if i get to see a real one i'll be satisfied!)

ah. I think that's about it on my list. if anyone has any suggestions of what i can do/see in japan [within kansai-area], that'd be awesome-o. huzzah.
