music: build a bridge and jump off it - ice nine kills

i always write on the stalls at school. but sadly none of it's profound, just anything that will shake the little snow globes that all these plastic girls live in. sometimes i write, in hope that i'll get some sort of response, anything.

the other day i was on a forum, they were campaigning for love. "people are talking about how they want to see change in the world. they want love, so let's give them love." there were heaps of ideas, from writing notes on sticky notes, public toilets, desks, everywhere. A universal message to write, something inspiring and beautiful that will surely brighten someone's day. that will make somebody love them self, or at least think a little bit. i was pretty moved by it all, so i decided i'd do something the next day. i was at work, and i brought an extra sharpie along with me. i wrote on most of the five dollar notes. things like:

- "love equals actions, not words."
- "be something."
- "make the best of what you have, wherever you are."
- "trust yourself, you know more than you think you do."
- "breathe in life, breathe out art."
- "don't let your secrets hinder your love."

so i wrote. i wrote on numerous notes and each time i gave back someone their change, knowing it had some sort of secret message on it, it gave me a huge adrenalin rush. i was scared at the time, thinking they'd turn back and say "what the fuck is this writing on the money? i want a new one." yeah, but luckily no one did. i hope it made some sort of a difference. it sure made my day. :) yes. i know a lot of you will think this is stupid. but if it's going to make some sort of difference, it's worth a try, right? spread the love!
